VPlus 5121

The VPlus 5121, based on Freescale's award winning MPC5121e multi-core automotive processor is an integrated platform for safety and telematics applications. Containing an industry proven DSRC solution, and a GPS receiver along with optional WiFi and broadband cellular modules it is ready for use in telematics, Safe Trip-21 and VII applications as is or in the development of high volume platforms.

DSRC: The VPlus 5121 contains the Kapsch Trafficom DSRC radio card and software stack as used extensively in VII trials and Proof of Concept projects.

GPS: A state-of-the-art GPS receiver and antenna are included in the VPlus 5121 along with software that presents the data to applications.

Cellular Modules: GSM and CDMA cellular modules are available as options in the VPlus 5121.

Software: Embedded Linux, an applications Run TIme Environment, OSGi, DSRC software stack, and GPS and cellular drivers and API's, all integrated and tested in real time in-vehicle use by G4 Apps are delivered in the VPlus 5121.
